A young actress abandons her principles in pursuit of fame, only to realize her biggest fan is back at home. 

 

 

The story first debuted as a one woman show called BIG HAIR in 2010 at the Meta Theatre in Los Angeles. I had workshopped the character for a year prior with my acting coach, mentor and a wonderful director, Steven Anderson (www.actorswork.com). I had a supportive crew who managed the 5 week SRO run and then immediately spent the following two years adapting it for the screen. And now, here we are. I'm thrilled to have Marianna Palka and Saralyn Armer join me to make this film. 

Marianna Palka (www.mariannapalka.com) is directing! She wrote, directed and starred alongside Jason Ritter, Charles Durning and Tom Arnold in the award-winning love story, GOOD DICK, which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. She won the New Director’s Award by Sean Connery at the 2008 Edinburgh Film Festival and was a Sloan Juror with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation at 2010 Sundance Film Festival. She just finished directing several music videos: Moby, Last Night and Rain Phoenix's band Paper Cranes, God Save All of U.

Saralyn Armer is producing! She’s worked with indie-producers Jennifer Dubin and Cora Olson of Present Pictures on a variety of projects: GOOD DICK (2008), TiMER (2010) and THE PERFECT FAMILY (2011). She just finished working with Bryce Dallas Howard as she directed the Canon sponsored campaign Project Imagin8ion, the Lifetime project Call Me Crazy, and the M83 music video Claudia Lewis. She has also produced and directed several other short films independently.
